अधा॒ ह्य॑ग्ने॒ क्रतो॑र्भ॒द्रस्य॒ दक्ष॑स्य सा॒धोः। र॒थीर्ऋ॒तस्य॑ बृह॒तो ब॒भूथ॑ ॥२॥

Subject [विषय - स्वामी दयानन्द] - The duties of a king are told.
Translation [अन्वय - स्वामी दयानन्द] - O king ! shining like the fire, you possess many cars (vehicles of all kinds). You are the guardian of beneficent intellect, of strength, of good men who follow the right path of the truth and justice. You therefore be our ruler.

Purport [भावार्थ - स्वामी दयानन्द] - It is the duty of a king to protect good persons with all strength and knowledge and to punish the wicked. He should always advance the cause of truth and justice.
Foot Notes - (अग्ने) पावकवत् प्रकाशमान् राजन् । = A king shining and purifier like fire. (भद्रस्य) कल्याणकरस्य । = Beneficent.
