Translation -
Learned shining priests with their band of discernment and dispassion etc. adorn, purify and brighten their souls which are desirous of acquiring knowledge, which dispel the darkness of ignorance with the acquired wisdom and which go from one place to another (to be united with the bodies according to their actions). They attain emancipation and induce others also to do the same. By songs a poet and a sage by wisdom, the soul of peaceful nature, repeating the Holy name of Om attains the Holiest God with the help of the knowledge got from the Vedas and the words of wisdom uttered by the seers.

Comments - (मरुतः) - ऋत्विजः मरुत इति ऋत्विनाम (निघ० ३। १८) Even Griffith in his foot-note on the word Marutah-says. meaning perhaps the ‘priests.’ Generally Western Scholars of the Stamp of even Max-Muller translate the word : as “the Gods of the storm” but here Griffith has admit though without certainty that “Marutah” perhaps means the priests. This admission is very significant. (शिशुम्) - शो - तनूकरणे उपलब्धज्ञानेनाविद्यां तनूकुर्वन्तम अभिशंसनीयमात्मानम् (हर्यतम्) - हर्य - गति प्रेप्सयोः कर्मानुसारं सर्वत्र सर्वासु योनिषु वा गच्छन्तं जीवात्मानम् ।
