Purport -

O men! Praise and adore that self-effulgent God! Of what nature is He? He exists before the creation and is the prime cause of all the creation. He is the accomplisher of all Yajñas-great schemes- creation of the world and imparter the true knowledge of the Vedas. He is the creator of all. O men! Acknowledge Him as Your Master and realise Him, whom we invoke humbly and the learned prove Him by scientific testimony and know Him. He is the sustainer and upholder of the whole universe including the earth and other planets. He is the cause of the advancement of the world, protector of our energy and food. He imparts the knowledge of the Vedās. The learned persons call him Agni God Almigty and bear Him in their lives. He provides for all mer the means necessary for the maintanance of life such as food, water etc. and true knowledge. Ignoring that Effulgent Supreme Power, we should not demand, pray to or worship anyone else.
