    Translation [अन्वय - स्वामी दयानन्द] - O men ! do not reproach a divine king who is a great genius, immortal (by the nature of the soul), endowed with much knowledge and has the power of giving instructions. Shining among men, because of his virtues and the best among them, he is great like the sun. Having large stocks of abundant food grains and other kinds of prosperity, he gives me all this gift in various ways. He gives it to me a mortal human being of mature dealing.

    Commentator's Notes [पदार्थ - स्वामी दयानन्द] -

    Purport [भावार्थ - स्वामी दयानन्द] - O people! never reproach a king who is endowed with the attributes of the fire (purity, splendor etc), is giver of happiness to all and full of notable virtues. Do not also praise a wicked person.

    Foot Notes - (यह्व:) महान् । यः इति महन्नाम (NG 3, 3) = Great. ( स्वधावान् ) वह्नन्नाद्यैश्वर्य्ययुक्तः । स्वधा इत्यन्ननाम (NG 2, 7 ) = Full of abundant food grains and other kinds of wealth. (गुत्सः) यो गुणाति स मेधावी गुत्स इति मेघाविनाम (NG 3, 15 ) = Genius who glorifies God and admires the virtues of others.
