मा भे॒र्मा॒ संवि॑क्था॒ऽअत॑मेरुर्य॒ज्ञोऽत॑मेरु॒र्यज॑मानस्य प्र॒जा भू॑यात् त्रि॒ताय॑ त्वा द्वि॒ताय॑ त्वैक॒ताय॑ त्वा॥२३॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठमा। भेः॒। मा। सम्। वि॒क्थाः॒। अत॑मेरुः। य॒ज्ञः। अत॑मेरुः। यज॑मानस्य। प्र॒जेति॑ प्र॒ऽजा। भू॒या॒त्। त्रि॒ताय॑। त्वा॒। द्वि॒ताय॑। त्वा॒। ए॒क॒ताय॑। त्वा॒ ॥२३॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
मा भेर्मा सँविक्थाऽतमेरुर्यज्ञो तमेरुर्यजमानस्य प्रजा भूयात्त्रिताय त्वा द्विताय त्वैकताय त्वा ॥

मा। भेः। मा। सम्। विक्थाः। अतमेरुः। यज्ञः। अतमेरुः। यजमानस्य। प्रजेति प्रऽजा। भूयात्। त्रिताय। त्वा। द्विताय। त्वा। एकताय। त्वा॥२३॥
Meaning -
Be fearless and do not waver as to the performance of yajna. Let the offspring of the performer of this yajna be excellent, faithful and free from weakness. We whole heartedly take recourse to yajnas for the realisation of the one Lord, for the purification of air and water and for getting the blessings of mother, father and preceptor.

Shri Jai Chand, Vidya Alankar, interprets the last portion of the Mantra as for the mastery of the three Vedas, the two Vedas and One Veda. Recitation of Vedic hymns in the performance of a yajna is essential, as by their constant repetitions, one masters them.
