इन्द्र॒मिद्धरी॑ वह॒तोऽप्र॑तिधृष्टशवसम्। ऋषी॑णां च स्तु॒तीरुप॑ य॒ज्ञं च॒ मानु॑षाणाम्। उ॒प॒या॒मगृ॑हीतो॒ऽसीन्द्रा॑य त्वा षोड॒शिन॑ऽए॒ष ते॒ योनि॒रिन्द्रा॑य त्वा षोड॒शिने॑॥३५॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठइन्द्र॑म्। इत्। हरी॒ऽइति॒ हरी॑। व॒ह॒तः॒। अप्र॑तिधृष्टशवस॒मिति॒ अप्र॑तिऽधृष्टशवसम्। ऋषी॑णाम्। च॒। स्तु॒तीः। उप॑। य॒ज्ञम्। च॒। मानु॑षाणाम्। उपयामेत्यारभ्य पूर्ववत् ॥३५॥

इन्द्रमिद्धरी वहतोप्रतिधृष्टशवसम् । ऋषीणाञ्च स्तुतीरुप यज्ञञ्च मानुषाणाम् । उपयामगृहीतोसीन्द्राय त्वा षोडशिने ऽएष ते योनिरिन्द्राय त्वा षोडशिने ॥

इन्द्रम्। इत्। हरीऽइति हरी। वहतः। अप्रतिधृष्टशवसमिति अप्रतिऽधृष्टशवसम्। ऋषीणाम्। च। स्तुतीः। उप। यज्ञम्। च। मानुषाणाम्। उपयामेत्यारभ्य पूर्ववत्॥३५॥
Meaning -
Two horses (yoga and kshema) carry Indra, hero of inviolable honour and power and head of the nation- family. Indra, protector of the honour of the land, listen to the Rishis’ songs of the praise of the heroes, go close to the yajna-assemblies of the people, listen and act accordingly. You are anointed and consecrated in the sacred law and constitution of the land for the sixteen fold honour and glory of the nation: This honour and glory now is your haven of life, the very purpose and meaning of your office and existence. The people look up to you for the sixteen-fold honour and prosperity of the nation.
