यजुर्वेद - अध्याय 3/ मन्त्र 24
ऋषिः - वैश्वामित्रो मधुच्छन्दा ऋषिः
देवता - अग्निर्देवता
छन्दः - विराट् गायत्री,

स नः॑ पि॒तेव॑ सू॒नवेऽग्ने॑ सूपाय॒नो भ॑व। सच॑स्वा नः स्व॒स्तये॑॥२४॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठसः। नः॒। पि॒तेवेति॑ पि॒ताऽइ॑व। सू॒नवे॑। अग्ने॑। सू॒पा॒य॒न इति॑ सुऽउ॒पा॒य॒नः। भ॒व॒। सच॑स्व। नः॒। स्व॒स्तये॑ ॥२४॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
स नः पितेव सूनवे ग्ने सूपायनो भव । सचस्वा नः स्वस्तये ॥

सः। नः। पितेवेति पिताऽइव। सूनवे। अग्ने। सूपायन इति सुऽउपायनः। भव। सचस्व। नः। स्वस्तये॥२४॥
Purport -
Absolute intelligence by very nature O Self-Effulgent God! You are the bringer of good means for Your devotees. You are the bestower of the most excellent [unsurpassed] position in life. You are also our protector.
Donor of happiness O Supreme Lord! Destroying all the miseries, evils and pains make our existence always happy and prosperous, so that our life should be excellent.
Just as a benign father keeps his s sons happy and prosperous, similarly make us happy and prosperous. If we shall be evil, then You will not be glorified. A father is glorified only by reforming his off-springs, not otherwise.
