The word 'asravaya' denotes a ‘stotriya' (a verse of eighty syllables), i. e. first three verses of the hymn; the word 'pratyasrava' denotes the answer, i. e. 'astu srausat' which contains the later three verses of the hymn. The verse beginning with words 'yajamahah' (Rv. X. 23. 1) denotes а ‘pragatha’ (a combination of two verses in different metres). (1)
