सूक्तम् - विराट् सूक्त
कुत॒स्तौ जा॒तौ क॑त॒मः सो अर्धः॒ कस्मा॑ल्लो॒कात्क॑त॒मस्याः॑ पृथि॒व्याः। व॒त्सौ वि॒राजः॑ सलि॒लादुदै॑तां॒ तौ त्वा॑ पृच्छामि कत॒रेण॑ दु॒ग्धा ॥

कुतस्तौ जातौ कतमः सो अर्धः कस्माल्लोकात्कतमस्याः पृथिव्याः। वत्सौ विराजः सलिलादुदैतां तौ त्वा पृच्छामि कतरेण दुग्धा ॥

Translation -
Whence were these two (God and soul) manifested. Out of many that God possesses supernatural powers. From which world, from which earth have they, the expositors of minute Matter come into being from an ocean like unfathomable state! I ask thee of these twains, who out of them has perfected Matter.

They: God and soul. Thee: A learned person God and soul, out of their power, exist in all worlds and at all times. Through them are brought into existence all the material forms of matter. God possesses supernatural powers. He creates and dissolves the material universe.
